Who Owns Your Future?

Truth is that is up to you!

Ask yourself who owns your future and your first answer is I do, right?  Then that feeling of despair comes over you as you convince yourself that the government, family, bosses etc really control your future!  Which is correct?  Whichever one you choose becomes the correct answer for you as it will be your reality!

It is true that we cannot always control what happens around us, we cannot always control others behaviours and so forth BUT you always can control what something means to you and what you are going to do about it!

As we discussed in the video, the same thing can happen to two different people and one uses it as an excuse to give up and the other uses it as fuel to create a compelling future from the same situation.  Better yet is some people use a “bad experience” to grow and teach others how to not have the bad experience which then makes the bad experience a good experience because now it is a teaching tool!    

We go in depth in the video so make sure to watch it all the way through and have your notebook ready to take notes, capture your distinctions and create your plan!

Here is a quick outline to owning your own future now!

1. Make a decision here and now that YOU are in control of your future! With this comes comes taking responsibility for your own actions…No blame games.  Own your decisions!
2. Create a crystal clear vision of what you want for your life. Be clear not only on what your future is but also what it is not!
3. Create your MAP or GPS to get there! 
4. Keep the habits you develop along the way that continue to serve you! The biggest mistake is people do something to get to a certain point and then abandon the very habits of success that got them there.  Remember we are never static…We are either moving forwards or going backwards.

Do the 5 year test in the video over and over with any decisions you need to make!

My friends this is not always going to be an easy journey but I can’t stress enough that you get one life, this is not a rehearsal for the next go round!  Live you life today like it matters because it does and it is the only one you get!
