It is a new day and time for your new way!
A New Day, A New Way!
Last week we talked about what you always did gave you what you always have gotten!
We then walked through the steps to change that but now what?
This is the time we are walking into a new day, and we don’t want to fall back into old way, right?
The solution is a new way for the new day! Now I know this rhymes and seems cutesy but that is the way we install new beliefs that are easy to remember and implement!
The other key factor is your success at anything is developing the habits!
You see that will power and temporary sprints take work, time, and effort. Also you must think about them, where as habits become part of your routine and part of who you are!
Developing habits becomes like autopilot. You don’t think about wiping your butt after the toilet, you just do it. That is because it is a habit.
Habits and instincts are different. Instincts are neurological responses, for example you just if there is a loud noise close by. This is your instincts protecting you as opposed to a habit of washing your hands after handling raw meat.
The instinct is preset per say where the habit is learned and practiced.
How do we form a habit to serve us?
Glad you asked!
Here are 4 easy steps:
- Decide that the new habit is a must, that it is necessary and that yes you can do it!
- Make a written plan of how to install this new habit.
- Schedule the habit the same as you would schedule anything ese that is important
- Commit to 30, 60 or 90 days of performing the habit religiously. 90 Days is best as it has been proven that the habit will stick!
- Journal how much better that area of your life has become by establishing the new habit. Learn from this, how can you use the same formula in other areas of your life?
- Set rewards for establishing the habit. It is ok to celebrate the things that make you better!
Now you have it, what is next has been answered.

Once you have broken away from the “always done” habits you now have a new way to do your new day!
