Don’t DIEt Just Eat

Don't DIEt, Just Eat!

Going on a “DIEt” is the biggest mistake you could make!

You can not be the best at anything if you do not have optimal energy and health!

Your dietary lifestyle is a huge part of the equation!

Have you ever caught yourself going on a diet to lose (x) pounds by (x) date for the (x) event?

Sure you have! We have all done something similar and maybe more than once. The question is even if you did hit that result you were after did you retain the result? I will bet not!

For example: You are getting married in a few months and you have a good 15 pounds to lose.  You go on a crash diet, workout alot and so forth and you do it! On your wedding day you look great, feel great, your spouse looks at you like you are dinner and you have great self confidence!  The honeymoon is amazing as your new spouse can’t seem to stay away from you!  A year goes by and you have gained the weight back and maybe even more. Hmmmm it seems to be familiarity must be setting in, they aren’t looking at you like you are dinner but rather like when are you making dinner!  This also makes you feel a little down and frankly you really don’t have the same energy as honeymoon time!

What the heck happened? The crazy 8 of crash diets and fad work outs coupled with a short one time goal.  Where did you fail? The fail came in when you failed to adopt the habits of what got you there in the first place.

The key here is not to lose 15 pounds by the wedding rather to look, feel and be energetic and amazing which comes from adopting the new actions you took as habits.

This is where so much is lost in the ability to keep the momentum of positive change. It is not about the 15 pounds as much as the energy, self confidence and the feeling of self control!

Today our focus is dietary lifestyle!

Notice how I spell DIEt, I do this because most diets make you want to die!

Before we jump in I want to remind you that I am not a medical doctor and you should always consult your physician prior to beginning any dietary or other lifestyle change.

Why is diet so important?  It is truly the basis for energy, bodily function and a big time contributor to emotions!

If you lack energy, your body does not operate efficiently and your hormones and sugar levels are out of whack, how in the world are you going to feel good, be able to focus and be in a good mood?

It can be very overwhelming to try to tackle the mysteries of diet. Every preacher of “their” diet will try to convince you of why theirs is the only one that works.

The problem is this….You, me and everyone are different in nutritional needs, food sensitivities, likes and dislikes.  The is no one stop shop!

In the video I give several examples!

Whichever dietary program you subscribe to make sure you are taking the best and avoiding th epitfalls of each. NOT ONE is totally perfect and yet all of them have something good to offer.  This is where you must become a self study and a self guided experiment until such point you crack the code of what optimizes you!

With that said I have some basic rules that can help you get started:

There are some basic rules:

  • The closer a food is to its natural state the better. Most veggies are better for you raw because they are still water rich, have the enzymes that help digestion and are more nutrient dense, Cooking and especially over cooking veggies destroy a lot of the nutrients.
  • Try to get as much organic as possible. Many times, it is not the food rather the chemicals that it has been treated with that is the problem. Bug killer is NOT safe for human consumption!
  • Eat for quality per calorie rather than quantity of calories!
  • Investigate and learn more about fasting and intermittent fasting as there are loads of studies showing amazing results!
  • Stay away from processed foods. If it can sit on the counter for a week and does not spoil, there is a problem!
  • Sugar is poison! Wait, doesn’t most food turn to sugar in your system anyways, Coach? Partially correct and with pout a lengthy science lesson let’s clarify to be processed sugars. The sugar in a blueberry is totally different than that of a candy bar. The blueberry is a clean bun sugar that does not leave acidic ash in your system. The processed sugar burns dirty, and it is actually quite addictive!
There are several more that I introduce in this month Inner Circle.  You can also learn in depth in my 30 day HEALS (Healthy Eating And Lifestyle Simplified) course!
I am so excited about health that I would love to invite you as my guest for free this month to sit in on our monthly live Inner Circle meeting by clicking here!
Of course you can also jump right in to be an Inner Circle Member and see the weekly supplemental trainings as well by clicking here!

Take what you learned above and start to write down the foods that will support you and do more of those and then write down your nemesis foods and decrease or eliminate those. If this is all you did to change for one month I will venture to say you will start to feel, look and be better!!

Remember that without H1 (Health First) nothing else will be as good as it can be!!

My friends this is not always going to be an easy journey but I can’t stress enough that you get one life, this is not a rehearsal for the next go round!  Live you life today like it matters because it does and it is the only one you get!

With that all said make sure to watch the video, take action today, get some coaching and step up to the life you desire and deserve!

Live with faith, energy, passion and always live your dreams!
