Media friend or foe?

What if……it was a little of both?

Welcome back my friends to another episode of Breakthrough With Lew!

How do we stay informed without falling prey to the media frenzy? 

1) Do not use the news as a source of background noise at home, in your office and certainly not in your lobby of your business

 2) Listen to and watch your media that you can control ie Spotify as opposed to news and commercial ridden public radio

 3) Find a fact driven platform for when you do need news that delivers in a no BS fashion without major embellishment. For example show the track of a storm, resources you may need and nothing else. Footage of previous devastating events have no place in the reporting of a current situation 

4) Set a timeline for progress check ins. Do not watch and impending storm 5 days out as we all know what can happen. When that storm is 12 hours out you need to know the final track etc and make final prep. Lets face reality…you should have a system in place for particular perils for your area that you can activate within hours not days!
